Tasks & Responsibilities
o Support the administration, optimization (performance tuning) & expansion of the (java) web infrastructures, combined with GigaSpaces Cloud environments.
o As part of a team you are responsible for the operation of the servers and keeping the website properties running in a 24x7x365 environment.
o Working closely with the Java development team using SCRUM methodology.
o Build, maintain, secure and upgrade our Linux systems (web servers, application servers & databases).
o Assess systems utilization to assist in troubleshooting and performance tuning
o Create scripts for effective maintenance
Job Requirements

o At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in High-Volume Databases (MySQL), Systems (LINUX) and Networking technologies.
o Proven problem solving track record focused on quick outage restore, root cause analysis technologies.
o Database Administration skills (MySQL)
o Excellent LINUX administration, including scripting skills
o Hands on Java and Apache optimization, performance tuning and configuration
o Experience with GigaSpaces Cloud Java environments is a pre
o Understanding of DNS, NFS, TCP/IP and other protocols
o Testing and implementation of high availability and disaster recovery solutions
o Write, maintain and help enforce coding standards and best practices
o Flexible, strongly adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
o Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management
o Provide assistance with vendor's technical support
o Provide on-call support for critical issues on a rotational basis
